The bathrooms at Thanda Safari are absolute heaven! They have a shower and a gorgeous roll-top bath. The best part? The toiletries are infused with rooibos and baobab tree extracts. So luxurious!
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the outdoor shower in the mini Zulu villas. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Our visit to Thanda was the highlight of our trip to South Africa. The warm welcome, amazing trackers, and breathtaking villa with a plunge pool made it an unforgettable experience. The wildlife right outside our villa was a dream come true. The boma night arranged for our last evening was a magical ending. The safari was well worth every penny, with two game drives a day and excellent meals. The villas were beautifully designed with outdoor showers and a stunning view of giraffes strolling by. It truly brought us close to nature and wildlife.
Highly recommend this hotel.

The bathrooms with rooibos and baobab toiletries are like a little spa oasis, making me feel pampered and relaxed.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the outdoor showers. But hey, some people might enjoy showering under the stars.

The reserve is a treasure trove of fascinating animal homes, from the intricate weaver's nests swaying from the branches to the towering termite hills that amazed our children. The knowledgeable guides enriched our game drives with captivating stories about even the most obscure plants and animals. The early morning and late afternoon safaris allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the sights, smells, and sounds of Africa, creating unforgettable memories as a family. we took the opportunity to explore the area for water adventures, such as scuba diving, which added an extra element of excitement to our trip.
For dads, it would be great if there were more interactive activities specifically aimed at families with children.

The game drives were off the charts cool, with the guides sharing crazy stories about all the animals and plants. We saw nests that looked like freaking pendulums and termite hills taller than my little bro! And let me tell you, the early morning safaris were lit – the sights, smells, and sounds of Africa were on a whole other level. And if you're into water adventures, you gotta check out the scuba diving in the area. It's like exploring a whole new world underwater!
Okay, this might sound wild but hear me out. The only thing we wished for was a bit more of a party vibe.

the staff were outstanding and the accommodation was out of this world. the game drives exceeded our wildest expectations. We saw 4 out of 5 of the Big Five and got up close to the animals. the rangers were knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable. The tent was lovely, and we even had impalas and inyalas in our outside shower. Cons: Cannot find any fault. 🥰.

Personally, I wasn't too crazy about the outdoor shower at the Zulu villas. It's just not really my thing.

My stay at Thanda Safari was absolutely incredible. The private game reserve offered an intimate and exclusive experience with limited game vehicles, allowing for up-close and personal wildlife sightings. The facilities and tents were spacious and beautifully designed, providing a luxurious and comfortable stay. The game drives were exceptional, with knowledgeable guides who shared fascinating stories about the reserve, its birds, plants, and of course. The highlight was getting to witness precious moments in nature, such as spending time with baby hyenas at sunset and observing a young male giraffe being taught how to fight. The food at the lodge was delicious, with fresh and varied options, and the service provided by the staff was impeccable. I highly recommend Thanda Safari for an unforgettable safari experience.

We were lucky enough to choose Thanda Safari for our family trip to South Africa from Chicago. the location was breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding nature. We were even more fortunate to have Ralf as our guide and Sabelo as our Zulu tracker on our game drives, who were incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable. the tented camps were luxurious and comfortable, with the outside shower being a highlight.
That the spa facilities were quite limited.

The Thanda Safari was an incredible experience. The database provided all the information needed to make the best out of my stay. The room was gorgeous - the perfect place to rest and enjoy some peace between morning and evening game drives and other activities. The amenities in the room were exquisite. The outdoor bed, plunge pool, and private fireplace added an extra touch of luxury. Plus, the deck provided the perfect spot to spend hours spotting animals in their natural habitat.
Due to the possible dangers of native animals, it was advised not to walk out of the room at night. This meant that as a solo traveller, I had to spend the evenings in my room from 9pm to 6am, which got a little boring.
